Havana Cabana Property Precautions and Update
The Wellbeing of Our Guests and Staff Is of the Utmost Importance.
We are closely monitoring the Centers for Disease Control and Prevention statements, as well as our state and local agencies regarding the novel coronavirus (COVID-19), and following recommended cleaning and social distancing guidelines and protocols
Our Commitment to Cleanliness
We take standards for hygiene and cleanliness very seriously and are taking additional steps to ensure the safety of our guests and staff remains at the forefront of our operations. Our health and safety measures include everything from handwashing hygiene and cleaning product specifications, to guest room and common area cleaning procedures, as well as daily temperature checks for all staff.
All guests are required to wear face masks while staying on property and will be provided one at check-in, if needed. We ask that anyone who feels unwell or has been in recent contact with someone with COVID-19 postpone their travel for the safety of other guests and our team members.
For the latest information, please refer to Centers for Disease Control and Prevention (CDC) or your local health authority.
Your guest room is thoroughly sanitized and inspected prior to your arrival. As an added precaution, each room is disinfected a second time by a manager before arrival. Your Room is Your Room. No hotel personnel will enter during your stay without your permission. In addition to thoroughly cleaning and disinfecting rooms between guest departures and arrivals, extra linen and bedding have been removed from each room and will be delivered upon request only.
Guests checking in and checking out will be required to observe recommended distancing protocols between other guests, as well as with resort staff. There will be frequent cleaning and disinfecting, with special attention to high-touch surfaces such as front desk check-in counters, RFID room keyless entry bracelets and public access doors. Face shields have been added to the front desk to create another layer of distance between staff and guest. All staff are required to wear masks and gloves at all times. Extra sanitizing stations have been added in public areas of the hotel as well.
All furniture and hard surfaces in this area will be wiped regularly using EPA-approved cleaning products after each guest departs. There is a 10-minute “dwell” time required between spraying the furniture or surface and wiping it clean to be fully effective. Chaises and other pool furniture have been rearranged to comply with CDC recommendations for social distancing. Guests are required to honor these protocols and remain distanced from other guests not in their party.
Food & Beverage
Floridita Food Truck and Mojitos Pool Bar is currently offering food and beverages at the pool. All food is being served in closed, take-away containers.
Please note that the City of Key West is requiring the wearing of masks when outside of their residence/lodging room, regardless of the ability to social distance. For more information and to read the ordinance in its entirety, please visit: cityofkeywest-fl.gov
