All centered on the largest pool in Key West, a tranquil oasis at the heart of the resort. And when adventure calls, hop on a Vespa or 5-speed bike, or hitch a ride in a classic mid-century Chevy for the short ride to historic Old Town. Boutique shopping, gallery gazing, bar hopping, museum meandering, decadent dining, sunset celebrating – Havana Cabana Key West Resort is the ideal setting for a restful escape from reality.
Considered the Havana Cabana mascot, “Maiden” – the goddess of the sea – was created by artist Colette Pisut to honor the mermaids of The Florida Keys and be a welcoming face for all hotel guests. Inspired by the water spirit Yemaya, Maiden is one of the largest paintings and is showcased as a floor mural, poolside, under the chiki hut, which is a central gathering point for guests relax, celebrate and enjoy the beauty of Havana Cabana.
From here, a number of Pisut’s paintings branch out and adorn walls, columns and walkways with such pieces as Lola & Rue – a dancing queen and her mate Rooster; a Message in a Bottle in search of freedom along Florida’s southernmost shore; a patriotic Cuban flag; a Rustic Butterfly with a special message in Spanish that translates to “the best things in life aren’t things,” and more.
Pisut says she’s been moved by her surroundings and was drawn to the nautical nature of Havana Cabana, due to its proximity to the water, as well as its lush surroundings of tropical foliage – all, which she adds, are clearly depicted in her exclusive creations.
A popular attraction in Cuba, Berry also recreated the spirit of Yemaya – or The Mermaid – along the main stairway at Havana Cabana, where she can live and rule over the sea as “the Mother of All.” Drawn to Merpeople, Berry also created Triton, messenger of the sea, who rules alongside Yemya at Havana Cabana.
Trained in Spain and a transplant from New York City, Olga Manousalvas has been described as an artistic polyglot, speaking many languages through her artistic style and expression. An internationally-exhibited painter, Manousalvas captures island dwellers with a statement of high color and vibrant narratives.
Rather than select her design, Manousalvas says what she creates chooses her, one example of her paintings at Havana Cabana – the Cleansing portrays a real-life experience from her childhood where her grandmother helped ward away evil spirits through a specific Cuban ritual. Manousalvas’ captivating canvasses portray Afro-Cuban rituals and culture through her unique style and vivid hues.

The staff was very helpful. The rooms are super clean. The pool is amazing, it’s huge. The whole property is beautiful. The best part of our whole experience was Val the shutter driver. He made the shuttle ride into downtown so much fun. He was funny, helpful, and just made our ride outstanding. Cool air was on. Great tunes playing. You want to ride with Val. We’ve had a great trip

Excellence across the board!
Our experience at this beautiful hotel was incredible. Everything was very clean and the staff was constantly sanitizing. The decor was amazing, the staff was on point and the extras were yummy. Complimentary extras included Sangria on arrival, morning smoothies, poolside popsicles and afternoon snacks. The food was delicious also. The free shuttle to the center of Key West was icing on the cake. My daughter is making plans to return with friends for her 40th birthday celebration. We all felt pampered and important! Thanks Havana Cabana for excellence across the board

A shout out to jim the shuttle driver. Jim went out of his way for us and we greatly appreciate his generosity!
This will be my go to hotel in Key West for sure.

What a fun place for all ages! The 50s Cuba atmosphere pervades the hotel, and the service is amazing. They have the largest pool in Key West, and the pool service is the best I’ve ever seen.
